John Houghtaling American Ethane CEO
John Houghtaling – CEO of American Ethane Company – has spent his career as both an attorney and an entrepreneur in the energy sector. Houghtaling is the majority owner of Gauthier, Murphy & Houghtaling – a law firm that negotiated the 286 Billion dollar structured settlement with the Tobacco industry in 1995. From 1998-2004 he was involved in the development of the 144MW Nejapa Power plant, the first IPP power plant in El Salvador.
In 2010 Houghtaling became the CEO of Ocean Therapy Solutions, an oil service company he founded with business partner, Kevin Costner, and in 2010 he co-founded Ocean Management Group with Gary Chouest of Edison Chouest Offshore. Together Houghtaling and Chouest negotiated one of the largest service contracts of the BP Horizon oil spill, deploying 32 OTS centrifuge devises on vessels designed by Edison Chouest Offshore. Houghtaling also severed as special legal counsel to BP for state and federal relations in the aftermath of the spill. In 2014 Houghtaling co-founded American Ethane with an initial Capital pledge of $350 million dollars of private equity. On November 9, 2017 Houghtaling as CEO of American Ethane signed a 2.6 million ton per annum ethane supply contract with the Nanshan Group in the presence of President Donald Trump and President Xi Jingling. The deal was the largest binding deal of the US/China Trade Summit. Since that time, he has signed gas export deals from AEC to China in an amount that exceeds 7.2 million metric tons per annum.
Andrey Kunatbaev
A businessmen made his fortune in TV business. Invested in several tin and coal companies and co-founded Amshale and Pesto companies in Texas, USA.
From 1994-2000 he worked as investment banker with BOTTS & Co in London, UK. In 1994 Kunatbaev partnered with BOTT & Co. to found TV3 Russia. Over a decade, Kunatbaev grew TV3 into the fifth largest TV station in Russia and later divested it in 2007.
Serves as a member of the Board of Directors since December 2017. He is currently general partner and managing director of Glickenhaus & Co., a family partnership originally started by his father Seth Glickenhaus in Wall Street in the 30s of last century.
